Got this Holz Hausen done today. Used a Cordwood Covers system. We will see how it works.

Thanks. Yeah, it was a pain to build. It isn’t perfect, but it’s five feet high by eight feet diameter and it is holding 2.2 cord, or so they say. So it does take up less space than traditional stacking.

I got that POS Bronconof mine fixed, seems to be better now, no more death wobble! I definitely kicked the crap out of myself doing it though. Hurtin for certain this morning.

Wife is still sleeping so I limped myself down the street to the boat and I'm driving watching one someone wakeboard. Pretty cool and windy for that!

We get up to go walking at 5:00 AM if I am going to work. We get up at 6:00 AM on the weekends unless I am catching the first ferry to see Mom then it is 5:00 AM like this morning.

Windy out this morning. Took Cricket to the vet yesterday as she had had a run in with a sharp stick and got herself in the left shoulder. Unfortunately it took us a while to realize she had done it and so it is now infected. I feel like a bad parent.

Sometimes things get past us because our furry friends don't bother to mention it and act like everything is normal (embarrassment I'm sure ;)). Hopefully she recovers quickly.

Thank for the kind words. Yes, she has been acting like there is nothing wrong and still is. Only now with her shoulder shaved you can see how bad it was. Seems to be healing better this morning. You would think it would be stiffening up but she seems to be doing alright.

Our neighbors are moving, we went to their auction yesterday. I felt bad for them, towards the end we were visiting, the husband was leaned up against the table with awful back pain in the shade lamenting what he'd paid for a tractor and a snowblower, tractor only went for $2K and blower attachment only $800. His wife had a straight face but was tearing up, must be so hard to see a lifetime being bought for so little and taken away, 60 years of them and things from their parents. I gave her a couple hugs. They are moving north where the weather is more forgiving, they will have water and a furnace there (instead of hauling water and woodstove).

Oh, and I accidentally bought 2 semi floor jacks :wacky:, auctioneer was standing next to a come-a-long touching the chains, WWW could use that in the barn for game, nope, it was the iron things behind it. Thank goodness WWW said the guys at work can use the jacks for lifing HVAC units on roofs.

That is a lot! I usually wait until late September or October to make the cider but did not make any last year and probably won't this year because there just are not many apples this year.

And you'll no doubt find you use the log tongs about 10 times more often than the pickeroon.
