Thanks! Behr makes a good product that is reasonably easy to work into the wood.

Tough to see in picture but if you zoom in Momma and two little ones just came out for a snack.

Cool video. Did not know you could corner those on water. I had only seen them go straight on water before.

Our friends had the same play set till the bad thunderstorms a month and a half or so ago blew it over and busted it up.

Oh yeah, you can, but as you see in the video, taking corners raises your chances of sinking. If you ever have to cross water, don't let off the gas and aim for the straightest safest point to get off the water, be it solid ice again, or land.

Here's an update for those of you following my job fiasco..

I took the tow truck back to the lady i was working for, job that went sour real quick..
Took the truck back Monday morning. Had my Dad follow me so i could literally park it, turn in the keys and say seeeee ya.
Didnt want to have to tow my own vehicle there and spend X amount of time unloading it. Wanted a quick in and out ordeal.

That same morning, which would be this past monday (yesterday) i stopped by my previous job at the auto auction place and
secured my old job. That place loves me.. I was hanging out there during the day when i would have down time or nothing to do the past 3 weeks after i had quit there.

I was back at it full time today. I met with the owner around 2pm to discuss my future there and what i need right now in order
to continue working there. I am a massive asset to that place, my knowledge on towing has gotten them out of some tight places
and has also provided some well needed training for my coworkers.
So the owner is giving me a raise...

However... Yesterday, i had a job interview at one of the big wig towing companies and it went fantastically.
They called me today and offered me a position but its simply not going to work.
Its doing the things i love though.. Recoveries, getting cars out of houses and lakes and cleaning up accidents and all that exciting
hands on stuff. Its just the hours arent going to jive with me with having a baby that is my pride and joy. And then also the pay
is on commission so its not guaranteed. I simply cant work and not know how much money i'll be bringing in. I have too many
priorities that require X amount of money. I have to call the guy back tomorrow on what i decided with taking the job or not.
I am however going to see if there is a possibility that i could be on call maybe 2 or 3 nights a week and maybe 2 weekends a month.

I miss the industry.. I miss recovery and all that, my current auto auction gig, i dont do any of that. I tow vehicles that mostly run
and drive, and they have all 4 wheels and tires. lol i miss the complicated and challenging stuff, i miss it a bunch.

So im going to try and get my foot in the door at this place to see if i cant do some part time type work or something.
Something to cure my hunger for the REAL towing side of the industry.

Ya know what im sayin? Ya feel me?

Ready or not, she's going back to school tomorrow. Growing up so quickly right before my eyes. We had an excellent summer, sad it's already over :(. But also looking forward to getting back into school routine.

You definitely need something to keep you on your toes! Complex recoveries that really make you think are great, and the only thing that I still miss about towing now almost 12 years later.

I drove everything from one tons to 50 ton wreckers for 15 years. I cant imagine doing what I did before with all the on call work now that I have a family.

For sure never forget the family! I once made a mistake of living for my work. One day my oldest son came to me (on a Sunday afternoon) wanting to play. Sadly I had made it a point on late Sunday afternoons to start my week (had office in our basement). He started to cry and simply asked, "Dad. Why don't you have time to play any more?"

Needless to say, during that week I completely moved my office out of the house! I also started my work week on early Monday morning as it should have been. I'll never forget that lesson.
