Well Seasoned , very nice job on the new building but I was wondering are you going to close off the front with a tarp or something for winter?

When you save up the money.. Roll down doors (think concession windows) are not big money and keep snow out..

Yes, tarps for winter. Will reevaluate come mud season.

I may do something like that, but I may leave open during the summer, not to sure yet.

    Nasty weather almost here!

They will eventually grow in unused areas, like the edges. But we never had any issues with weeds growing where we drove regularly or parked.

All the nasty weather was well south of us or started up east of us today.

This will continue for hours. Currently embedded storms, some strong, like the one now. Alot of lightning.

I was browsing a few today online. For between $500-$600 bucks per door, there are decent units out there. I was looking at the wind rated ones. Plenty of room to put the box up inside the pb door openings and the sides are level for the track. Can get painted nearly any color. We'll see how the tarps work out this winter. The snow blows towards the opening. I talked with Dawn, she wouldn't mind doors because we're looking at the equipment from the house. I said, "what's wrong with that? " :D

Robin's 6th day. One sleeping, three others hungry. Plenty of worms this morning. Mother built up the nest either because the nights are cooler or storms were moving in or because they are growing!

Very impressive build. Don't know how you find the time or energy to keep up with all those projects. I had my day doing projects. Now it is mostly half done efforts that turn into another "round to it"

That robin was smart to build where she did. Our were in a magnolia just outside our window. A sparrow hawk came in and feasted. Then kept coming back as if it expected to fine more. Did that for a week. Poor parents couldn't do a thing to protect their offspring.

I can't picture yours in my head. It's the roll up into a box style?

We have some hanging on a cable for a 14’ tall barn doorway, too. Slides over and ties when open for a while.

Lost one of my girls about an hour ago to a damm fox! I'll be doing some lead painting next time it's around! I was just thinking this morning how well the summer had gone without incident since last summer.
