Stay off of 400+ cc sport quads then. You'll be ruined in a hurry. ;) The 300EX is a fun bike to ride for sure tho.

I had a Kawasaki KFX400, sold it this spring. Lot's of good memories!

Haha I have owned and ridden a Honda 450r and 400ex. Wasn't looking for another one but it was a good deal or at least I thought so. Single owner, 2006 that has been babied, with $500 dollars worth of new tires for $1400. It definitely isn't my 450r but still fun and safer for the wife to tool around on.

Brought home a load of sugar maple today. I started throwing it off and thought of this thread so I grabbed the camera. It was a full load. If this isn't meant to be an ongoing thread, someone should stop me. :)

    Done and Done.

For those who have not heard, Dex and I had our first meeting in a parking lot off of I76. I'll let him tell the full story but I got a call saying he was in trouble and I happened to be inbound to Swags place and only a few minutes from where Dex broke down. So I overshot to go see if I could help him out. Alas, not even zip ties would get him rolling again. :D

Here are the pics of my truck bed ....

Over $3,000 in 2 months for several items.. And broke down within 30 miles. :(

The truck always ran? It never had problems running. The main problem was the bolts that hold the injector rail down on the injectors were stripped. So the rail popped off and fuel went everywhere.

Brian met up with me and we got it rigged back on. I made it another 15 miles or so, and lost power going down the highway. Coasted into a gas station and that was that. All in all, I spent $1,600 on the truck this week alone. . Between repairs and towing..

Ouch. That's kind of crappy there. I believe I'd be asking for a refund from the shop and taking it elsewhere.

If there stripped why did they end back up on there???

That does seem steep. Did they touch the fuel rail?

Is the tires part of that price you put into it?

The front bolts on the fuel rail were broken. (There are two on each side, one front, one rear.) Several of the bolts holding the coil packs were stripped but still stuck in the manifold, so those coil packs were not bolted down, rather just sitting on the plugs. The problem with repairing stripped or broken fasteners in that manifold is that it's plastic. And if you have ever tried to drill a small (M6) steel bolt out of soft surrounding material, you know how easily it can go wrong. Forget about trying to do it on the truck. Depending on the cost of the manifold, just replacing the manifold and moving the associated components over with new, perhaps stainless, hardware would be an option I would investigate. Especially if you are paying for shop time. I smell an intake upgrade. :)

Could have been one of those side of the road fires...

My transmission fluid started leaking onto the cat when I was backing up a hill at the landfill. It went up in flames pretty quick -- could have had a new truck paid for by insurance, but an employee at the landfill had a fire extinguisher in his tractor and put out the fire. :(

Thats what I was thinking MM I would either get performance parts or personally if me I would grab the stuff off ebay or a junkyard and swap it in.

Nah, but I'd take a cast aluminum intake manifold any day.
