Found the can but it’s bad. Time to buy another. That’s about the best way I can think to stop the rust.
I was looking at the pics and was thinking that you could share blocks between the bins that are next to each other. Maybe less airflow, but you could put the blocks sideways. If you run out of blocks, it is an option.
It’s a good idea especially if somebody is on a tight budget. It almost cuts the cost in half! That was originally the plan but we wanted more air flow we’d gain 1 bin in the back doing them together but loose the air flow. We have good wind and sun at the back of the property. The other aide effect that I didn’t think about originally is that it gives room to remove splits easier between the bins.
I’m off to Andy Ts for crushed limestone fines they are WAY. cheaper than bags of paver base. I can get a scoop for $20 vs 1 40lb bag for $4 which is a major savings!
Thy sold me half a scoop of paver paver fines $15 and they look far better than the stuff from Home Depot.
Under each paver I’m digging down about 5” and laying contractor weed cloth and then filling and leveling the fines before I put the paver down. Not really the right way but it seemed to work under the shed. Fingers crossed...
I made good progress today and got the back row finished today as well as a typical pallet Pete creation. The gate we had a bunch of support bars left over so I did a thing. Works really good.
Man this is the setup I want. When they're full, how are you moving 'em (or do you?)? Tractor with forks?
There’s another 6 bins and a second row to go behind the garage! There’s a possibility that I’ll make another row up the side of the driveway at some point but not this year.
