Potential Hoarders G2G near Quad Cities, IL

Looking for interest in a gathering this way for those who couldn't / wouldn't travel out East to Swag's.

My brother lives 1 mile from the Mississippi River out in the country not too far from the Quad Cities, so interstate access is easy. Not sure if there is interest, but I figure we could put together a gathering for Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana folks.

We would have wood to cut and trees to take down, land for camping, etc. We can do what was done out at Swags about 500 miles west of Akron / Canton. Drinking, feasting, camping, wood cutting, splitting. Should be fun.

Who's interested? If I can get 5 or more members to come, it's worth doing.

 

If it's a Saturday I have off, I will give you an 85% chance that I will be there.

 

Do your thing and round up a couple more guys from out this way. I'm thinking there's a couple Iowa boys that we can get and some IL / Wisconsin guys too. There's a couple of Indiana guys that we may be able to recruit.

You'd be our technology guru. I don't know what camera we'd need.

 

I figure we'd need at least 5 member cause they would bring a couple extras plus we'd have some extra family that I can pull from that would be interested in a gathering like this. I have a good location with plenty of land for the meeting. I wanted to go to Ohio, but I recognize an opportunity to include Midwest people who don't live out East.

 

I can probably talk sinngetreu into it, maybe thistle would be interested? Will there be WiFi available? I can do a lot more tech wise with WiFi.

 

All internet and wireless technology available. We may reach out to a couple guys in Illinois that are on here. I think there's a couple in Wisconsin too.

 

I think it'd be good to have something like this for those unable to attend that live within 200 miles of this gathering. We can do pig roast, etc. So, it's up to us to make it a good time.

 

I'll make sure there is a splitter available onsite and plenty of trees to cut / drop.

 

We may not have as many people, but we can still have a good time especially if the weather is better. There is a pool onsite for kids and other side activities like dirt bike / four wheeler if families would like to attend.

 

May even have a boat available for a late night cruise on the Mississippi if there are people staying late / overnight.

I agree. It has to be a Saturday, and I have every other one off.

 

We can work this out as to the date. Quad Cities are at the IL / Iowa border off Interstate 80.

My brother's home is 1 mile from the Mississippi. The town is Cordova, IL. I know this could be a good option to pull in IL, Southern Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Whatever worked well at the first G2G could be replicated. I would shoot for June / July if I had a say, but I don't want to rush people either. I'd rather avoid August, Sept, and October as I get slammed at work during those months.

 

I was thinking we could have the east and west version for the Midwest territory. For the people out west, they'll have to pull something together.

 

I don't think we'll have as many hotrod saws at this gathering, but you never know.
