Mostly Maple with some White Birch and Red Oak thrown in. I've been pining(get it?) for some Maple for awhile since it dries quicker and is great burning.
Now I have to empty the shed into the basement before I can start cutting. Got five tractor loads in today and around fifteen to twenty left to go. I'm off this coming week so I should get to the cutting later in the week. Get to try my new saw out.

$1,000 CDN and I always give him a $50 tip.
I think that's well worth it to keep the house heated to summer temps all through the winter. I like it hot inside when it's cold out. Tshirt weather.

That surely isn’t going to be seasoned enough to burn this year...least I wouldn’t think so.

I just had a fella drop off a big maple tree he cut down and it’s in big chunks like those logs only bigger. I have to cut them up. Not sure if I’ll split them now or later. I’m thinking they’ll split easier about 3 years from now. I won’t need them until then anyway. Trying anthracite coal this year. Lol!
Sure is a nice load of wood though. I’m just a tad jealous. Lol!

nice looking load there Chris F . How will you go about processing them? Will you cut some, then split or cut it all then split it all etc. I usually cut a tankfull of gas then split. That load is nice as you have room to work it!
Keep us updated on your progress.

Looks like white birch up top. One of the many species I haven't burned or split. Thought I was more of an experienced burner until I joined FHC.
Humbled in a good way ;)

Nice looking stack. How long are the logs? It looks more logs that I get in a supposedly 7-8 cord load for $700. The logs I get are 12 ft or better.
