After weeks of hemming and hawing, not wanting to part with my hard earned money, I took a ride to my not so local Husqvarna dealer to get a 70cc saw.
Here's some pics of my new 572XP before I got it dirty.
I've only run 1 tank through it so far, but it starts like it should, idles great, runs and cuts excellent.
I'm very happy with the purchase.

Nice saw! I'm wanting one, but already got 4 saws that don't get used enough as it is.

Then you obviously haven't bought the right saw. Keep trying.

HammerheadC4 congrats on the new saw. Word on the forest floor is it is a very capable wood slayer. Go get it dirty and give us a review.

I was looking hard at these. But also looking at 372’s. I don’t have 70cc saw and have been waiting for the right score on one but they are rare. The only one I note as rarer is a 385.
I keep jar on the bench to to fund a purchase of a new of either, but I keep pilfering it to buy parts for projects that I intend to liquidate but end up as part of the herd.
Have fun and report back on performance

Congrats, looking forward to seeing how it treats you in the long run. They sound like a great all around saw

The 572 is a great saw! Walt was generous and gave me the opportunity to run his saw at Dennis’s get together, and I loved every moment of it.

Now I desperately want one but the retail price for a 572 XP down here is $1989

I "liked" your post but that wasn't intended for the price tag! Ouch.

572xp ... that will be a tough act to follow. I was thinking about getting one last winter, but they weren’t widely available yet. Got a 562 instead & have since picked up a 372 so I think I’m pretty much covered
