Up until about a month ago I had been starting my MS261CM in the run mode after it was warmed up. All though it always started I would sometimes have to pull it several times before it would start up. I was sure I had read that method in the manual, but after re-reading it I found out I was doing it wrong.

I have since been starting it in the choke mode at all times and it has made a huge difference in the way it now starts warm. Amazing what you can accomplish when you pay attention to detail.

Welcome to FHC!! Did you run MasterMech's at the GTG?

    Welcome to FHC as well!!

The 441 is an amazing saw. Love mine!

They will start on one pull when warm.in the On postion, but the down (start) isn't really a "Choke" position. Because the saw will run for extended periods in that position. Unlike the non Mtronic saws.

Thanks! I DID get to make a few cuts with it, it's fast and smooth!
And of course I made sure that I got my hands on that 460 of yours! That's a beautiful thing... :)
