    Wow...can't like that. Glad you healed up and wasn't any worse. Several people I knew of and a couple personally, didn't fair as well. It was their last ride...

    Worked a little while this morning. Moved most of the old white oak logs to the process area and bucked up enough to make the last 2 rows of rounds, and split the row next to the splitter. Had a few good pieces for the shed, most went in the big pile...it will all burn though. IMG_20190803_103628682.jpg

    We got all but about 5 of the big rounds, SS this morning, got about 2/3 done on middle row and more on cull pile. I checked the moisture on some of the old white oak splits 18-20%, and we had gotten 1.3 " rain on the rounds Saturday morning. It will be ready come fall/winter. I'll try to get a pic in the morning.

    Had 5 rounds and one quartered on the splitter left when it and me both ran out of gas yesterday morning. Those rounds should turn out some good wood. A face cord and a piece will have that rack full again. IMG_20190806_072225328.jpg

    The stack on the right is the tightest ive ever seen in one of yours! Do culls (you have the best culls) go into a shed too?

    Thanks, we get lucky once in a while...lol...I think we had a lot of straight logs in that group and crooks and knotty's get put in cull pile. The cull pile has pieces with a good bit of punk, bad places, maybe bugs, which I spray. IMG_20190619_110831560.jpg ...we have one rack, but it is about full already.

    Got 10 more 6' red oak logs to the process area yesterday evening, this morning we SS the 6 rounds of white oak that were left, then bucked and stacked the 40 rounds next to the splitter. Took a short water break and SS 10 of the red oak rounds by lunchtime. Our huskihl XS362 cut all that on less that a tank of gas, with a chain that needs filing... IMG_20190807_123615.jpg Started out this morning in low 80's but humid, by lunchtime it's 94° with H I of 114°... IMG_20190807_123739.jpg
    Good time to go to the safety meeting at work...lol...

    Well, we went and did a thing late yesterday evening. IMG_20190807_215132662.jpg A new to us wood hauler. Got a great deal on it, they were asking $2500, a friend that went with us and checked it out got it for $1700. I'm glad too, we stopped for gas and it started leaking oil, looks like we have a bit of work to do, still hope it will be a good truck. If not, we can always sell it.

    Wow! That seems wicked cheap! Is it a dump bed? Perfect for you, tooling around locally!

    No ma'am, it's not a dump bed. Gonna use it to pull the trailers when we have heavy loads, ease up on the F-150 some...

    On the way back home last night, we stopped at Midwinter 's store to get more oil to put in the truck we bought. Nice folks, just like her.... IMG_20190808_084342284.jpg

    all kidding aside. Great deal and good for you. Hope the leak doesnt turn into a major problem. What year and mileage?
    Will you use the bed at all to haul wood? Like the make and color!

    '92, F-350, 197k miles, 460 gas burner...it will pass everything but the gas pump...:rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:...
    Haven't decided if we will use the bed to haul wood or not, it's not a dump body.
    The oil leak we think is the rear main engine seal, need to check some other stuff while we are working on it...it was a farm truck, so there's that...

    After 5 hrs of brush and limb cutting/clean up at my friend's house, we stopped by Mama's. She had 2 nice pines, one about 18", another 16" and about 65' tall, that had gotten leaned toward her house from the wind back in February. Used the tractor FEL to steer them 90° and dropped them safely. Going to give them to a friend up the road that has a mill. We got home and hit the pool, a new couple decided to swim with us, George and Suzette... really friendly, they ate what bugged us...:thumbs:
