Had some fun yesterday. Cut up a couple pine trees. Made some logs to stack wood on but didn't get any more wood stacked. Was not too hot to run the saw either and it felt good.
The cattails on the front side of my pond were getting too thick and blocking our view of the water. So I fired up the Stihl combi unit with the pole saw on it and went down and cut all of them on the front side. There are more than plenty on the backside and in the swampy areas. I’m going to keep them cut on the front side from now on. Way better view now. Time to relax, get cleaned up and have a cold beer or two. Graduation party/wife’s family get together starts a little after 4! Wife and step daughter made a ton of beef and veggie Shish ke babs! And several side dishes and salads coming.
Where I used to work, they did a lot of gearboxes for these turbines. The gearbox unit is a "compartment" the success of a small car, and probably 3 tons. Those get lifted to the top, as that's where the gearbox is connecting the prop shaft to the generator stuff. Well, one of those fell, from what 150' up and landed on a workers new at the time f250 Harley edition. It was FLAT. I saw pics of the aftermath. No bueno, in fact , El peor.
Slip n slide hasn't been picked up yet.. Kids been using it 3x a week.. Move hoses mow .. Repeat weekly!!
Thanks very much, Horkn She got released and is home. We are all grateful for your and everyone’s support and prayers. She is home and actually in great spirits and health. It seemed she had a partial obstruction from something that caused inflammation. Because of the high fever they wanted to keep her until whatever infection and inflammation got cleared up. They think this should be the end of it and she should not need any further treatment. It was scary and we are so glad and grateful it’s over. The grandkids came over because they all wanted to see grandma. Well, grandma is back to normal getting the kids ice cream and feeding them. Just what she needed for a quick recovery.
So far the teenagers said it was cool. I meant to see it on the big screen. But never got around to it. So we will watch it tomorrow and let you know.
I guess my better half is really feeling much better. She wants Chinese take out food for dinner. Looks like everything is back to normal. Again, thanks to all of you for your prayers and support.
