Yeah, I'd imagine roots would stop ya in a heartbeat with the boxblade and rippers.

Do you currently have a box blade, or looking at a new tractor implement?

This is the area we'll try a food plot next spring, we've had three fawns around here the last two weeks. We usually have between 4-6 each year.

The three pictures are of two fawns from the same mother.

We don't have one yet so I'll look at what a new one cost.

We are reclaiming our food plots, didn't plant them for 2-3 years, got them mowed, still have a lot of work to do. IMG_20190727_141458677_HDR.jpg Found a few white oaks that we had planted and left some volunteer persimmon trees. IMG_20190727_155010979_HDR.jpg

Nice setup Sav, about an hour after we stopped our talk yesterday, the two fawns and mom showed up in our backyard which we enjoyed for about 30 minutes before they left. They were eating some of the clover I planted with grass seed years back.

That would probably work, especially on a small area. We have the 3 pt PTO Hopper spreader. Can use it for pellet lime, fertilizer or seed.

Yes, if we had a larger area for the food plot, we would use our three pt spreader too.

We planted radishes last Friday. We just had a big downpour here and I'm hoping all the seed did not get pounded out of the ground... Have had that happen before with clover. Once I planted clover and 2 days later it was all on top. A total waste of time and dollars.

Can't get sugar beets to grow down here. Have planted the Japanese radishes, did great.

Planted an acre of turnips and radishes, along with some clover-hope the clover comes on next spring. Got some rain yesterday and some more in the forecast, hope it's enough to germinate.
Have plans to spray 2 acres this weekend-for rye and oats.

Probably not. They like cool weather. Long growing season too so they are one of the first crops to plant in spring and they usually pull the beets in October; right during the mud season.
