I tried to kiss it hoping it would turn into a princess...no such luck. Got warts on my lips now!

I didnt harm him and let him go after the photo shoot.

I usually smack the pile of logs before I start messing with it. Walk around it, and just start whacking it.
Usually the rodents and snakes go deeper. It also finds any bees.

    I'll take a snake over a hornet's nest anytime.

completely agree, I found one of those giant hornet nests under a tarp a year or two back. I was fortunate it was only starting and I didn't disturb it much.
I knocked that down ASAP. those suckers are bigger than a thumb!

Yep, snakes are way better than hornets, yellow jackets, and all the rest of nature's Air Force.

I get a frantic call from the GF this afternoon. Somehow a snake got into the laundry room downstairs and was sleeping on the rug in front of the dryer. She went to grab it as i didnt move and it slithered and she, well wasnt too happy. She accused me, of all people, of putting it in there. A rubber snake yes, a living one no! I think it somehow got thru from the dryer vent damper. Needless to say she didnt do any laundry an the door is closed. I checked the room when i got home and nothing. She still isnt doing laundry.

Had a rogue garter snake get in a year or so ago. Really boring waiting for a snake to come out from behind metal cabinet, but I got it.

Fortunately for me, Chazsbetterhalf isn't freaked out by spiders n snakes.

Just went out to check out the GF's garden and this guy was getting a tan on the corner of the landscape timbers. Went to pick him up and didnt move. I dont the he/she like having picture taken as it was sticking its tongue out at me.
Im tempted to tell the GF (she's not home) this is the laundry room snake as i had to accompany her in there the whole time while she did her wash! IMG_0552.JPG IMG_0551.JPG IMG_0550.JPG IMG_0548.JPG

Found this guy in a pile of rounds today while i was loading. Found a mouse later which made me jump more! I think it is blind based on the cloudy eye? IMG_0720.JPG IMG_0721.JPG
I timed the pic just right to get its tongue out! It wouldnt say "cheese"
I let it go into the woods. Mouse still in wood pile for next time!

Changed oil in one of our cars yesterday, huge snake skin up in the motor block hahahahah... that’ll make you stare around pretty good as you slide under it!

Also mowed, lots of skins all around the stacks and barn. Its cool how they all shed around same time.
