Any ideas on this feather? About a foot long. I was thinking hawk or an owl. I have a vole in the side yard making dirt mounds this week. I've been carefully setting the spike trap over the tunnel. It just pops a hole up somewhere else.
Horkn sounds like a good caveman name too... Those Water Boss softeners are easy to set up though...I backed ours off a bit after the initial setup, it was making the water "too soft" for my liking...
Huh, never would have figured that for a turkey feather, but that seems to be the consensus. Voles, as are most animals, are very good at self preservation so it is hard to trap them. Sorry, got no other suggestions to help you be successful.
Looks like it will be 90 today. Morning coffee outside checking out what moves early around here. A quick trip to the orage box store and then inside to work on the laundry room. This evening I'll split the last rounds at the pile if I can.
I'm sitting on my azz procrastinating a bit before I head outside and try and get all the invasive weeds pulled near my firewood storage shed while it's still cool out. I need to get to the 2 cords of oak behind the shed and see if it's ready to hopefully just be moved right inside.
That will eat up some space! But if you've got a dehumidifier running in the basement, it dries up nicely.
I got to the wood, but can’t find my moisture meter! It’s going to be put in the Rubbermaid shed if it’s dry. Otherwise, I’ll get it out into the sun. It’s been in a pretty shady spot for three years. Gets sun in the winter, but the trees choke out any sun when there are leaves.
