Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Enjoy your day, if you woke up, you have a purpose. We are going to do a little tractor work this morning, mow a right of way for one lady in Deepstep and pull up some bushes for another lady. Got to help a friend move a cement bird bath, get a nap and keep my grandson this evening so my hunny and daughter can go spend a bit of time together.
Remember the Golden Rule, love your neighbor as yourself. GOD LOVES YOU.

Good morning everyone! I spent all of yesterday weeding and digging, long overdue. While I've been making firewood this happened: IMG_20190719_18979.jpg
So, I dug it all out... IMG_20190719_32292.jpg
    Put down some rubber... IMG_20190719_40394.jpg
and covered it with mulch. IMG_20190719_56595.jpg
We'll see what happens when we get a downpour. I didn't poke any drainage holes in it, I'm hoping that since the edge of the rubber is lower than the granite, water will drain off into the gap without the mulch spilling over the top.
There are two more granite edged beds in this strip along the driveway, not as bad as this one was, but it will take some time to put it all right.
The heat and humidity is due to get bad around noon, not bad out right now.
    Have a great day!

:wacky:.... Well plans are were a mere 10 hours... then I'd start the weekend... ... Well when written in sand... Its soo easy to wipe that away...:wacky:... Left work and was partway home and got called back... Another 2 1/2 hours and I was finally able to get the weekend started....:D... But it was the lesser of the two evils... Either it was to wait to Monday to fix it and then be behind the eight ball or try to get a head start for next week...

Good morning everyone! I lost some sleep last night, worrying about the cat. She usually visits me several times during the night, but last night, no cat. I pretty much wrote her off as a goner but when I got up, my husband had just seen her and she seemed fine. We think she's staking out a mouse nest outside, because she's eaten a few lately ( ask me how I know). But lying awake last night, I realized how much of my drive to make and burn firewood comes from my desire to keep the cat warm in the basement.
Today with the heat, I'll stay inside and houseclean, dig the oily sawdust out of my electric saw, and maybe try and take some rust off the old crosscut saws I got off of CL. My grandson is up tomorrow.
    Have a good day everyone!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. I'm covering vacation days this weekend, so after 11:00 AM, it's all OT...:makeitrain"...comes in handy on the 3 day-36 hr week. I'll get off at 7PM today-Thursday...so we will be :saw:,:axe::stacker:late evenings and night. Still have at least 5 face cord to cut. Probably build another big shed after that. I'll have to see what pallets and metal we have handy. This was a welcome sight yesterday evening. IMG_20190719_191415943_HDR.jpg
Got a nice little shower, need plenty more.
Remember to count your blessings, not your problems...GOD LOVES YOU

Well my instinct was right, there is something wrong with the cat. Labored breathing and moving slowly a few steps at a time. Complains when she's picked up. My husband took her to the emergency vet, hope they can do something for her.

Well she's back from the vet. The report was, a fever and a swollen lymph node. She got a shot of antibiotic and is grounded in the house for the weekend. No belly problems, which is good.
