    I was thinking apple as well but it did look different than the apple tree I have in my yard. Different variety perhaps.

    It’s in a park so no cutting. The tree is solitary right where the grass of the park meets the boulder and sand of the beach. That tree has to see a ton of wind.

    Was joking about cutting it. Maybe it was more or less shaped by the wind and was never pruned like an orchard/yard tree would be.
    Maybe a cow pooped the seed out there? Read my thread 25+ year old locust posts to the end and get an education like i did!

    Looks like a old homestead tree , bark looks like apple , leaves look like apple , fruit looks like apple give it another month or so likely will have edible apples , go figure
