A couple hours of O.T. this morning and then home to get a few more things done on the rest of my day off. My son, another 15 y.o., and I were able to move 243 bales of hay up into the loft yesterday in about three hours time. All stacked and wagons hooked back up together and ready to be hauled away.

After that we took a break in the air conditioning and got cleaned up. I then spent some time at my Mother’s place cutting her grass and took her to the bank and the grocery store. She didn’t need me to because she still gets around fine in her own car, but I offered and she accepted.

Then it was back home to work on the pasture with the 310J loader backhoe. Got a lot done. Pulled the last stumps in the new pasture and pushed a lot of stuff around and now have everything in burn piles and ready to burn when it rains and the timing works out that I’m home.

Of course I managed to create a nasty leak in a hydraulic line right at the bottom of the tractor. :picard:Looks like it goes to part of the transmission or differential. (I hope that doesn’t create any other problems.) Must of been hit by a large branch or rock, I’m not sure. So I left it at my neighbors place so he can pull the line off for me while I’m at work this morning. Hopefully I can get a new one made up at a local place today.

Oh well. Make the best of it.

You hoarders have a safe and fun day today!

I'm pretty sure my wife has worn out a few DVDs of that movie.

Neighbor was able to fix the hose on the 310J. Yes! It was a return line for transmission fluid. Therefore not high pressure. He cut the last 8” off and I went and got a new section, some clamps, and new fluid. A piece of pipe in between as a union, clamps, and new fluid. Up and running.

Now it turns out that the wife was able to find another wagon of hay that someone else didn’t need. Bigger one with what he thinks is 175 bales. It’s coming today so it’s before the rain. o_O That dhould be here soon.

I just worked two hours of the overtime this morning. An hour and a half with two teenagers picking up branches and roots and junk where the new pasture will go.

Then started doctoring/fixing a maple tree that I don’t want to cut down yet, that split where the two mains come together. I’m going to save this tree. So far I have pushed the tree back together with the 310J. Then drove three 6” Timberlocks through from different angles. Next is drilling a hole through each large main and passing a cable through each one and tiring them together with cable clamps. Should be “fun”, but also should work. Hopefully it will save this beautiful shade tree.

    :faint:

We are all taking down time this weekend. No work Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone have any cheese to go with my whiny self.:D
