Wheelbarrow type tires started to leak. Well this little wagon was awfully tippy in the woods so I decided to upgrade instead of fix.
Pic of one original tire. Some of the upgrades I already did just to make it useable.

Getting ready to weld the extendoaxle. Wish I had ground a much larger angle to fill with weld. This is the one weak spot. Oh well, every fab needs a weak spot.

Family of turkeys moving through. Just the end of the train. Must’ve been 20 youngins in the circus.

All welded up and greased. Rear lawnmower tires have no bearings but I mixed up a magical elixir of grease and Molybdenum Disulfide. Goood Stuff. Good enough for this wagon anyway.

Took it for a rip around the field at high speed. Just like a cat it bounced and pounced. Just like a cat it always landed on its feet. :)

Nothing worse than a lawn cart that spills your load of wood. Well if you have it filled with ice and beer that’s worse. Much worse.

Hope all was good. Some warm weather but that doesn’t seem to bother you too much.

    Yes gooder work!

When I was looking for a ATV/ tractor cart, I waited to find one with decently wide wheels/ tires, and not those skinny no bueno things that some have.

This was something I bought for my mother. Figured she could putt around the yard and gardens instead of a wheelbarrow.
    No dice. She’s not interested.
So far I use it to move chainsaws around and bring uglies to the campfire. The bulk of my wood retrieval will be done with the log arch.
The few times I filled it with rounds in the woods it tipped over in ruts or rocks. Not very utilitarian off the grass.
Just couldn’t see repairing those little tipsy tires :)

In the plus column it will dump better now with the extra height.

we were mostly shaded by huge EWP so wasnt too bad. Nice country up by the Housatonic river. Scrounged some dense EWP limbs from a rotting tree on the ground and it made some serious fire the second night. I kept saying to her "are you cold" and would add a couple more to the pit. Im normally make a conservative fire when i camp, but with all the wood i scrounged and brought i went a bit nuts the second night! Pic from second night.
Joe, does the lake near you rent canoes, kayaks? IMG_0647.JPG

Always did. Probably best to call and make sure they’re still in business.

I used to camp at the Salt Rock campground in Baltic. Been 20 years. Nothing special but not bad. Had a few tent spots off the beaten path and the Shetucket river a short walk away.
So many campgrounds in Ct are just like parking lots with no real amenities within walking distance. Might as well pitch a tent in your driveway LOL

Very nice fix on the trailer! As for the grease, I once had a trailer with no zerks so just took the wheels off every now and then and plastered grease on the axles and it served well for years. In fact that trailer is still going but is in the neighbor's yard at present. Rarely gets used.

Nice job on the cart jo191145 Sure if I was handy had the tools and time. But I'm not and I don't. Had to buy one, in a recent post I can remember telling
you about the Ohio Steel cart that's served us well. Took pictures and meant to post but just now getting around to it. Even if it was a CT Steel cart or a PA
Steel cart I would buy one again without hesitating. Savage just reminded me check for zerks. IMG_0231.JPG IMG_0233.JPG IMG_0230.JPG

That looks like a beaut. Nice stance, bigger tub, more ground clearance and you can put stake sides on it. Not bad, not bad at all.
Mines only 40” across the tires. Originally 31” with the wheelbarrow tires. Didn’t want to get too crazy.

LOL it does look like your shed dropped in from Kansas. Any Ruby slippers under there?

Yes Ron T it is. Where the shed is was a steep hill aka our yard. So I found a guy who was real reasonable with a mini excavator and well with the benefit of
hind sight. Should of definitely thought it thru a little better
