Done splitting

Finally done splitting the wood we skidded out over the winter, and have two cord stacked, with maybe another six to go.




Here’s what it looked like in March.

I've got some cutting and splitting to do here, maybe half cord. Lots to do out at my best friends place, could be 10 c0rd or more. Good job Flamestead

That's great! One more handling, to stack it, and that's some future winter all taken care of. Did you find any ice at the bottom of that log pile?

 

No, but that’s my favorite way to cut it (pile the logs on snow, and cut to length while they are still on ice/snow).

 

I always wondered, ice and snow don't dull the chain?

 

Nope, drop them in a foot of snow, skid em & cut em up. No dirt & debris, best way to work imo.

Looking good there Flamestead , you've got yourself set up pretty good for future warmth. The pic with the snow from March was refreshing, I'm already looking forward to fall.
