What to put under wood stacked in rows

    I've used EWP saplings that are like using triangles. The narrow end ends up in the ground pretty soon with the weight on it. Intended Temporary. And you know how temporary often goes. Eastern White Pine rots away pretty quick if it never dries out. ANd then you,ve stacked on the ground. With those perks.

    I have a few temporary permanent stacks...or is it permanent temporary stacks, not sure, but i know what you mean billb3

    I use the 4x4s and 4x6s that they use to hang the wires on telephone poles.

    4x4's on blocks is my go-to method. I work nextdoor to a machine shop who constantly trashes pallets that use these 8+ft 4x4's as runners. I take them and knock the boards off to use the 4x4's.

    Simple enough. Cut four saplings. Put the thick bases on opposing sides.
