Holly might be able to help you. She will lay by there hole for hours sometimes just waiting for them to stick there head out. I think she has gotten at least 3 so far.

Lucy has dispatched 5 this year and badly scared two others.

Have-a-heart traps are effective, baited with fresh lettuce.

It's actually illegal to relocate critters around here... but, only if you get caught.

.22 will take care of them, Box trap will do it if not home much. They will mow veggies down left to their proclivities.

Slow'em down with a have no heart box trap and then an extra tall trash can full of water to give the whistle pig and the trap a good bath.

    I'll add my .03 here.

They are rodents. They are destructive. I had one undermine a brick walkway and collapse a section of it almost causing injury. I know two of my relatives that were working in gardens and unknowingly cornered one and got charged. I have heard stories of farmers being thrown from tractors when the wheels hit tunnels. I have no love for them.

Catch with a trap, and then a well-placed powerful pellet rifle shot.

Catch with a trap. Run a shop vac hose off exhaust of vehicle to trap. Cover with tarp and a few bricks. A few minutes of idling and it goes to sleep.

This works if you can get vehicle close enough to hole.

Smoke bomb down hole, make sure second entry is covered too.

I have one evading me now. Canteloupe did not work. Lettuce on the menu now.

On your own property is legal in most states, otherwise it is illegal in most states. Trap and dispatch in Maine except on your own land. I use a .22lr when I can.
