But instead mother nature did this. Of you look real close you can vaguely see the outline of the hill

I would, but the girls, and my wife, don’t want me to kill the Fox.

Is that rain? That is when I like to burn big piles. When there is a 100% chance of rain. No worry about catching anything else on fire I don’t want to.

The humidity is something special today...dewpoint is 78.

    Big party tonight...shooting over over 1,100 fireworks...in 15 minutes.

Yes it is rain. This is a topical bonfire for us. Nothing really in the fire to worry about spreading. Very windy, no fire. The grass is really long there as it has been to wet to mow. Normally by this time of year it looks like a nice lawn. It has been hit by the brush hog once this year. I started mowing with the rider the other day but do to issues with it couldn't finish. Tires were still spinning in a couple spots.

Made a trip to the fuel station today and bought some more diesel for the machines. Spent a good part of the day on my older Kubota Tractor. After I traded in my M59 on the J.D. 310J, I found an older Kubota L4310 4x4 to do the three point hitch work. It’s in rough shape cosmetically, but runs well. So it was a fair price. And turns my 72” rotary cutter nice.

I’m hoping I can fix it up a little here and a little there. It had brand new rear rims and tires, so that was a big plus.

Rain finally stopped for now. Went in to work with Chaz on dinner. When I came back out on the porch we had this little guy come for a visit. When we first moved here we were told by a sup that was replacing a drain pump at end of driveway that they are endangered.

I'm getting robocalls from supposedly the social security administration, my SS# has been suspended  . Annoying, I've deleted 14 voicemails from them in 3 days. I used "call block" on my Verizon phone, it does not ring now, but it's still going to my voicemail and taking up my mailbox capacity, any ideas to stop this? My mailbox was full on Friday when the high speed internet installer called:confused:.

Yes. I have an idea. I have thought about throwing my phone away altogether. But then I would lose my FHC ability.

Today's fun is trim and siding repair on a poor trim out by others before me at the foundation. Regular pine was used, and the small mudsill was not pitched away. It looked good with a slap of paint over it, but I knew the way it was done, it had issues.

HVAC foil tape is not legit flashing.

The good news is that there is solid 1" pine sheathing on this house. Just some of the detail trim was not properly done. Minor rot is right at the top edge.

Caffeine going in. I still haven’t been able to quit the soda all together yet. It’s time to detach the rotary cutter from the tractor and put the York rake on. Then get some wrenches out and replace several of the tines that have broke off over the last few years. I think about 6 of them have snapped off. So I ordered some new ones and they have been delivered to the house. I haven’t even opened the box yet. Hopefully they are the right size. According to the dimensions in their drawing they were darn close. Once they are on I have to get out on the trails and level off quite a few places where I did some work with the Mini Excavator. Looks like it will be another beautiful day out there. All you Firewood Hoarders have a great day.
