    Gum maybe, and im making a FHC educated guess. If so, get as far away from it as possible. Ive never worked with it, but ask anyone on here who has, its a nightmare to split, even with hydro. Low btu's
    I dont recall ever processing anything that looks like it.

    Hmm. Never heard of Gum round here but I guess I don’t know. I may leave it as Im out of room (for the moment) and still have more ash, elm, and black walnut coming from right next door.

    I can only see two pictures, don't know if there are more, they look like they are not displaying properly. My first thought was cottonwood.

    Joel that looks an awful lot like Populus deltoides or cottonwood. Pretty gooder shoulder wood. Easy to split and fast to season.
