That sounds like an enjoyable retirements saves. Taking it all in whenever that is the right thing to do and moving on to something else or taking a nap when it is not!

Retirements is a good goal. Besides the obvious of being financially prepared, there is also is a goal of keeping in good health. I am over weight and now have a knee with a compression fracture and torn ligaments. Happened in February.
Pain and immobility sucks. To all my friends, take care of yourself as best you can. I can't count the number of my retired buddies who have chronic back and joint pain. Do the things you want, but do them smarter! Use your tools not your back.

My g/f is graduating nursing school this weekend. The pinning is Friday night and graduation Saturday morning.

Congrats to your daughter, that is not an easy degree to get ! Teresa put in well over 40 hours a week on studying and papers and projects for several years. This was in addition to class, labs and clinicals....as well as dealing with 4 kids and life (and me )

Yes they are and I hope it stays that way! I had a bet with a coworker of mine who is a pirates fan, he had to wear a Brewers jersey today! Sure made for a good laugh! I told him it's about time he got himself some nice clothes! ;)

we have the stove going just to keep the dampness out of the family room which is on the lower level of this raised ranch. Upstairs is comfortable, but we are spending most of our time in the family room now. Tried running the stove with the thermostat but it won't come on unless I have it turned up to a higher temp. So now we just run it on low while we are in the room, then shut it down.

Today has been one of those cold, damp dreary days when you can't get the chill out of your bones. Wife had the stove going when I got home from work. It feels good and I'm not shutting it down until she says she's hot.
