    Sorry,got a bit busy with family stuff, and to be perfectly honest,went on a bender. the on an off rain,sleet,snow, and family depressed me.I could explain awd 4wd full time, etc, but I think it has been covered here,partially. Have not figured out what he "AGV or AGM, whatever terminology is, are you talking about the chevy avalanche? Yes, I know about the problem some 5.3 engines had with fouling a spark plug. It happens. Mass produced engines do have problems, yet the 5.3 is the desired engine for modified and converted vehicles, it is a very good engine. Fixed the electronic problem, in my winter van,road tested it 2 times, now have to get shocks for it. Got vibration problem in backhoe figured out, have parts ordered, lost the front motor mount, got mount,hardened washers and bolt ordered. Glad i got out of my "funk", as i still have to repair my plow truck before winter! And, I think I will drive to Omaha, in a few months, to surprise my father, for his navy ships reunion. I cannot afford to fly,but i do not mind driving(in daylight),, and 1 sister has offered to help pay for trip,cause no way she can go. Got my fingers crossed.

    They about 5 of them are stashing away the black oil sunflower seeds I bought for the various sonngbirds we have around this joint, the tree rat population has been reduced and it is now time to do the same to the chippies.

    "AFM" = ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT

    The computer shut off 4 cylinders 1-4-6-7 during very light throttle cruise conditions

    This is accomplished by deactivating the hydraulic valve lifters with solenoid setup.

    (Special lifters and electronic/hydraulic control)

    The deactivated cylinders end up with both valves closed which results in very minimal drag loss.

    Buttttttttttttttttt, the piston pulls a vacuum at times and tends to suck oil past the rings and with extended low power cruise the plugs can foul.

    The new rigs have DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management) that can run the V8 on only 1 cylinder, or a buttload of different combinations to manage power in a seamlessly orchestrated little ritual.

    Waaaaaaaaaay too much overthinking of the plumbing.

    Just wait until that mess goes sour.....:picard:

    That is a beautiful garden. Be warned that the red Japanese red maple will not look like a stick once it takes hold. after 30 yrs, + mine is up over the roof.

    Are those the live catch traps? I was told that relocating (live) isn't good because they are very territorial and will kill intruders. But who is to know for sure.

    The Chippy trap is indeed a no kill humane trap, however the Bear is neither and the trap fits about two feet below the top of my small trash can. Bad Bear, bad Bear.

    This is a different cultivar that should only get 10-12' tall, and it should "weep". Of course that doesn't mean it read the specs either.

    Decided I would really like a cordless hose. Turn on the water at the house, and walk anywhere with the nozzle.
