Yea, it looks like clay because it's so rusty, lol. It's actually an old Englander metal fire pit. Nothing better than a couple brews around the pit!
I'll bet the leaves close that area off like a green screen, when they're full. Same happens here and at our cabin.
Yea, they do...... the trails stay open, minor trimming here and there once and awhile. But when cutting back there, I usually need to clear a safe working area. The overgrowth hides what lays on the ground, boulders, roots, etc.
Beautiful evening here. Already down to mid 50°s but much warmer in front of the pit listening to people doing some night atv riding in the distance. Life is good! Got alittle smoked out in that last pic.
