Put some gas in and tried to start it today, no luck. Going to tear into it later in the week. First things I've got to check is spark and compression, then move onto the fuel system I suppose.

Ok, she's got spark, got compression. When I try to start it I get no life. After 30 pulls, I saw there was gas on the bottom of the saw. Massively flooded? or some issue with the fuel system? Haven't tore into it completely yet.

Ok, I've got the saw in many pieces now. It appears that the leaking fuel came from the fuel line not being connected to the tank. Picture below shows the fuel line.

I found this little bugger when I flushed the tank. You can't really see it in the picture, but the bigger end has a chunk out of it. Was this line supposed to go to a fuel filter? This line is clear, the other one is pure black, so I assume they were separate lines.

I finally wrestled the tank out of the little case. I found a little hole where the lines should probably go, neither line I have fits in it. Am I missing a go between part?

That's all I've got for now, hoping to hear from the experts on here for advice.

Many times the lines just pull through the tank. Some things have a grommet on them. My echo weed eater has a grommet the lines go through.

On that I have no idea. The line u need will fit the carb nipple. And as long as you can get an I.D. line that fits that nipple with an O. D big enough to tight seal the tank your fine but if no such size is made you needs a grommet.

Try to go on parts tree or e replace me t parts and find the parts list for that saw and see what they list for it

Picked up a brand new fuel line and filter, eliminated the stint and the shorter piece of fuel line. Drilled out the hole in the tank just enough to force the line through. Double checking the schematic because I don't think the screws were in the proper spots when i pulled it apart, then I will test the power head and see if it fires.

Good work. It will run..you may need to build the carb but it will run. All you need is spark, fuel and compression to run.

Adam instead of drilling the hole out cut the tubing at sharp angle and fish it in from the outside, grab with fine needle nose pliers lubricate and pull through cut flush then install the filter and pull the slack back towards the carb - same thing with the vent line.
They sell cheap multi-fuel line repair kits at Ace/box stores - I keep it around to fix weedeaters and other cheap crap that has yet to die on me around here

Actually, Dad will. He wanted a little gas powered saw for cutting some branches for canes and for the rabbits to gnaw on, and I was going to try to get him an earthquake for fathers day. This is even better!

So, does anyone have the chain specs or a manual for this product? It's a Poulan Micro Super XXV Deluxe.

Its 3/8 lo pro like clem said. Just count the links and have your Stihl dealer make you one. Mine doesnt mind making chains for other brand saws.
