Was the same here. Tried working with the wood but didn't last very long. Might have to give up that type of work for a while now.
Rain moved through this morning. Most of it missed us and we were not disappointed with that. Looks like it will cool a bit for the weekend. Good.
77* now....87* s in tbe hills for a high. Dewpoint is 69* s already. Callin for scattered strong to severe storms after 2p.m. into this evening. Hope we just get some rain......
Sounds like 90's F with a heat index of 100 F today. Guess we will unload the Apple tree rounds in my pickup and load the kayaks. One of our first truly hot days to be on the river. Should be good!
We are sitting 79f now at 10:30 AM with a dew point expected in the 70s and high in the low 90s. When I was kid we just knew it was hot out, but nowadays the weather terrorists on TV can't stop talking about how big of a deal this is.
When it is 29 here we put wood in the stove! I heard there is a hot pocket over France. No doubt it is wider than France.
Supposed to be cooler today but the dewpoint says not. Still the dewpoint has dropped a bit. Temp now is 80.
92* about 1 1/2 hrs ago...dewpoint was 71* s.....severe thunderstorm warnin.....pea sized hail for about 15 mins. Wind blew pretty good for about 30 minutes. Got about a half inch of rain.....still light rain.....dropped to 75* s
I don't know about you all, but I have always liked weather extremes, except strong winds, heavy rain and hail. Also would have to say I prefer deep cold to extreme heat, but kind of get fired up about both.
