Drat!!! Another day and no job to go to. The 680 ran well today and I got a chance to put it to use on a decent sized Fir log. These are the kinds of day I used to think about when I was working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Your Elderberry and Salmon berry is alot farther ahead than ours. Did the salal go brown this winter? A lot of ours did with the cold weather, no rain and lots of sunshine.
The salal is up higher on the mountain, but I didn’t notice it going brown. Last time we went up on top the ferns had all been knocked down by a late snowstorm. I think things are a bit later than last year but should do good because there was no frost after things started blooming. Elk should be back soon to work on the elderberries. That is some nice pics. Yep I know what you mean on the retirement front. I have a saying. It is a tough life but somebody has to live it so might as well be me. Now which saw should I run today.
Only blues I see there are the water and the sky, and they are looking beautiful! Congratulations on your retirement!
Nice straight cuts that are measured out perfectly. And for some reason your saw will likely run better consistently, while spinning a nice sharp chain. Every time. Ahh the benefits of having plenty of time. Enjoy it
Such a relevant thread, I'm a couple or three years out to retirement. This is exactly like what I would have posted , as you just did. Cheers to you Reloader , now you'll have time give us more pics of those mountains and saws.
Quit going to a regular job the end of 2006, when I was 52. 35 years of official working was more than enough. Now, if I could just figure out how to quit with the un-official working, life would be much easier.
Congratulations Reloader on your retirement. Enjoy it in good health. Still 7 years out from retirement. I have one kid left to get through college. Posts like this peak my imagination. The backdrop of your photos is beautiful. I would imagine that view never gets old.
Last day of FT work, last half hour of the day. I'll continue doing some PT work in my field, so I am a bit of a failure at this retirement thing.
