Would you of just fixed your truck yourself Dex to save labor? Nothing done sounded complicated. And your a pretty good mechanic.

Do you really need a 1 ton diesel to bring 8 chainsaws across town though? Oh Yea forgot your towing a goose neck with cant on it!!

There is a lot of wood in the trailer now... And I am bring firewood home.

    Not just chainsaws.

I drive my truck very little (only when I want) So to spend less than $300 and wait a month or 2 to fix my truck? Would have been well worth it. I really wanted 2 of the saws coming to the GTG.

I've worked every day straight except Easter weekend. The last 8 weekends straight. . I work a LOT. 40 hr week isn't in my future. More like 60-70. Work 70 hrs a week with no days off and an hour drive (57 miles one way) to work and an hour drive home. Then tell me how much time you have to work on your own stuff

I still do light work on saws, but I spend very little time doing anything else but working. In 2 weeks I start training to move up the corporate ladder. But until then, I have been busting my azz. We have never been this busy, this early, at work

Geez Dex, those look awesome. What are the measurements of those, or what size bars needed?

I was thinking out loud when I posted. At first I thought it was crazy then realized you do needs one to tow. I understand. Man thats a lot of time away from the family!! You can't take stuff with you remember that family is important.

I know you spend time with your family I'm just saying that.

    a 24" X 24" Cant.

I will measure them tomorrow against a 25" bar. I am running a 28" though. Pics to come tomorrow of bar against Cant.

The idea is to have to big saws race 1st (70 cc and up). Then we will bust the band's and have 5 single 12" X 12" Cants for the smaller 40 cc, 50 cc, and 60 cc saws.

You'll be lucky to get through 24" of cant with spikes and a 28" bar. More like a 32" will be better for racing and not hanging up the spikes.

Dex and I have baby spikes on our 441's. That should help keep 'em clear. I would want to make sure the nose really clears as well. We'll see once we get there I guess. :)

If I remember right you need about 4" over cant size to clear with spikes.

They want to unbundle it and use them as individual later on.

My 25" bars fall just short of 24 off the spikes.

Just do 2-3' off the ends. Can't trim the hole thing without bust in the bundle anyway.

Getting through cants without hanging the spikes is why I'll do a 20" now instead of 16".

Even with a 36 inch bar I only had a couple of inches to spare.
