Thanks brother, we got about 1/2" rain, sharp lighting, and some wind. Wound up serving 73 plates total. Had a great time.

 

Good morning everyone, I'm awake at my usual time but my hosts are still sleeping. They have a beautiful view of the Catskills.
The trees in the foreground need to be cut before they spoil the view, but they are on the edge of a cliff! They have coyotes and bears that come around. Driving home after a visit to a rock sculpture park.
Have a decent day, sympathy to all who have floods and rain.

 

Thanks for the thought, boy, if we could get some, it would be nice. They say this Wen , thurs, and friday we might get some rain, sure hope so, honestly we need it. Got my new Honda mower waiting for the grass to get a little higher, plus i've been busy with a big oak, thats on its side in my daughters back yard. Been whittling away at at it off and on. I'm down to a piece about 12 ft long by 28'' or so in diameter.

Good morning FHC. Wife and I were up at 4 to complete preparations for the meal to serve our guests today at our home after our grand daughter's dedication at our church. Her baptism comes later after her conscious personal commitment to the Jesus Christ and her Christian walk. We are getting light but steady rain right now which was needed for the garden after a few weeks of cool and dry weather. After this week's rains and warm weather the garden should go nuclear.

Thanks brother. I saw on the weather channel how the winds came down from the Midwest over 1000 miles. Some places like Nashville and Columbia SC saw winds 80 mph...glad we missed that.

Today I'll fix the tire on the cart. I kicked it off the rim yesterday bringing down some wood.

First issue we've had with the cart in the 5 yrs or so that we've had it.

I'm fairly certain it was low on air pressure, not sure when I checked last, so I'm sure that played a large role.

I have so much to do but I’m thinking cook ribs and relax today.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. We had a great day yesterday, went to Sunday school and church, came home, cleaned up the grill while my hunny made up her famous burgers, grilled burgers, sausage dogs, and onions. Got to see two of our kids first with 4 grands and our son came later with his wife and boy. Had a small storm roll thru, but got to dip our toes in the pool later.
Start back work today 7AM-7PM for 4 days, guess I'll have to bring out the fans and lights at the wood pile again...
Remember to share a smile, lend a hand, let your LIGHT SHINE for JESUS... got 3 grands to sit still watching cartoons so I took a picture...

 

Good morning everyone! I've been wrestling with the rubber roofing I picked up this weekend. It's kind of damp, so I'm spreading it out in the driveway to dry. The pieces are 10x24'. I will never have a wood stack that big, so I am cutting them up into more manageable sizes. The stuff is pretty heavy. And, I have to mow the lawn, go grocery shopping, sweep up around the pool, etc. etc. Not much time to spend on FHC these days, sorry.

Good morning everyone! I got the cover off the pool yesterday, and I hope to get the pump started today. Thursday and Friday will be hot, and I look forward to a plunge in 60° water! Today I pick up my grandson at 3, he's at a dramatic arts camp this week. It will be raining by then, so I can hold him off from wanting to swim.
