This tree was over the road and blocked my usual route this morning. I went back after work and the tree had been bucked and pulled off the road. I want to say it is pig nut hickory but I'm not as versed as others on the forum. Thanks.

I am already loading all my gear in the truck for tomorrow after work. People were looking at me like i was insane, it was pouring rain and I was chucking all I could into the bed from the ditch.

Another two truck loads of 16 inch trunk and a decent amount of 5 or 6 inch limbs.

I was so pizzed I drove my wife's gas saver to work. I drove half an hour home and half an hour back with the 2500, well worth it. I'm coming prepared tomorrow.

im almost always in my PU and if i ever put wood in the back of our Murano, she would have my head. It does much better on gas so i will use it on occasion for errands. Sometimes the PU has stuff in back as well. Hats off :tip:for going back and in the rain as well. A true dedicated hoarder! Hope the rain holds off tomorrow for you!

Hope you can get it all. Even 3" limbs make good wood with hickory.

True statement. Many folks don't realize branch wood is more dense than trunk wood in general.

I took the pick up to work and cut as much as I could right after work. My back is feeling it.

I forgot how much higher up my 2500 is than my 89 f150, its gotta be the better part of a foot. Even the 16 inch splits were pushing what I could lift into the bed. Holy cow hickory is heavy.

There is probably two more truck loads of fore wood I could not see it yesterday through all of the branches/leaves. I'm going to try the smaller truck tomorrow, less wood but easier on the back. I'm four years ahead but this is too good to pass up.
