I'm a bit sore today too. Yesterday I wanted to work up the food plots, which meant first I needed to mow them, which meant first I needed to sharpen the blades, etc., etc. It all got done then I started splitting some wood which meant putting ball hitch on atv and pulling splitter to splitting pile then bringing atv back to get the tractor. Only managed to get one scoop load of splits before I had to quit. Got that stacked and managed to get all the equipment put away (because of rain in the forecast) but when I came inside and sat down, suddenly it really hit me. I laid down on the bed for a few minutes. Wife woke me up when she came to bed several hours later... One might say I was spent.

I should add to the above to say while I was working on the food plots, I saw 2 fawns being born! Neither of the does seemed to be bothered by me being back there.

Also to add to the above, I also spread some lime on the food plots and when I went back later to get the trailer, I saw 2 other does with fawns plus 4 other does without fawns. A busy day indeed.

Maybe I should sharpen my bush hog blades when I take them off to replace the seal. It's an old wornnunit I bought used. I have cut with it several years and never sharpened the blades.

My other smaller one I bought new and used hard for 6-7 years before I got the 5fter I was talking about earlier. But it also has never had it's blades more than just touched with a grinder.

Come to think of it when I straightened out and patched that larger one I may have hit the blades lightly when I had it upside down?

Weird day. One of WWW's roof's that was almost completed was accidentally set of fire late yesterday by an HVAC contractor. Bummer for them, paying for repairs on the not even completed new rood. Next one I'm making a phone call on. Tomorrow. After I calm down to better express myself. I was caught in a traffic jam (rare here but I did) and was 4 minutes late (11:34) to pick up kiddo from sports lessons. She was sitting by herself on the handicap parking curb I park at. Everyone was gone, teachers, parents, everyone but private golfers, 4 minutes? I talked to a woman I met who's child is in the same class, she arrived a 11:20 and the lesson was already over and kids and parents exiting the parking lot. Unacceptable to leave a child alone for one minute and in this case it appears almost 15 minutes :hair:

x2 ... Totally unacceptable especially at that age... The adult leading the sports lessons should have stayed with her till you got there...

Yeah, that's not cool. Time to talk to the coach? Casual conversation about responsibility maybe?
As far as WWW's roof goes, PIA but at least he's not responsible. Can you say -"Change order"! They can back-charge the HVAC contractor, especially if they hired wet.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around a traffic jam in your area.... . Jackalope herd going north for the summer? They will slow things down on occasion.

So, I'm a little weirded out today, as I found out a buddy of mine will be out of prison on Tues. He was granted parole.
It seems like it was yesterday when he went in, and now he'll be out next week. It was about 5-6 years ago when he went in though. And yes, he totally deserved to do that time, if not more. I talked to him tonight, told him I'd see him Tues when he got back up here. I'll help him when I can, he's not a bad person, just a duck when he gets drunk.
    Time flies , it's incredible.

Ho hum... Another rainy day. I'd surely be stressed out if I had hay that needs cutting and baled. How would you ever get it dry enough?

Sorry for the loss of your dad. Mine died 35 years ago and time does help to heal. Remember the good times you had together.

Think I would be having s talk with the
Principal. Should have a teacher staying out there until all kids are picked up.

NortheastAl and Chazsbetterhalf , thanks for the kind words. I was so busy at work today I didn't put a lot of thought into it. I do remember a ton of good times with him though.

That hits close to home for me. It's good to stay busy sometimes, keep the concentration going.

Well we had what I think was a tornado. Didn't walk in the door till 10pm. Cutting trees and clearing roads with the VFD.

I didn't take many pics as I was running a saw or dragging brush the whole time. There are a few, other than some random pics of down trees. There is one spot with small pines that are about 5 years old maybe less bent leaning over horizontal with the ground. IMG_20190620_203238476_HDR.jpg IMG_20190620_153958430_HDR.jpg

Work has been nuts this month. Lucky for me I put in for tomorrow off so I can be here for my daughter's graduation party.
