No I have not but I was talking to the owner of Vincent's garage and he's been doing a lot of reading up on it. Also was talking to the guy a to NAPA. It's not a rust stopper but a rust preventer. I think he told me that it has linseed oil and wax in it. The stuff really sticks and partially dries so it doesn't come off. If you don't want to do the spraying yourself Indiana rust proofing on Rt. 219 just outside of Ebensburg does it. It will properly run you close to $500.

If you want a rust stopper you can get it at colours auto paint store in Eldorado Johnny on the spot. It called....... crap I can't remember! But I did use the stuff on my old truck and it does kill the rust!

Fluid film works good.you should reapply once a year to the areas that get washed off from road debris

Yes you're right. I believe the place I was telling Tim that business that does it gives free lifetime touch ups for as long as you own the vehicle. At least that's what a guy at work told me that had it done there.

I tried Fluid Film on my mower deck and was not impressed, maybe I didn't put enough on!

I use it on bolt threads, in between rotors & hubs etc. I've been happy with the results as far as keeping parts from rusting together. Easy to apply from a can or undercoat gun. Not sure how it would work on a mower deck, might get worn off pretty quickly on the bottom side.

It was intended to keep the grass clippings from sticking, Read many good reviews of this technique on Lawnsite...Good chance I screwed something up.

The oil spray I get done here will stop it if you re-apply every year or two...better to apply before any rust though...obviously
