Metal tile backsplash all done. Wife is elated.

I also cut up the neighbor's Norway maple top that blew over in the high winds on Friday.

He was using my trailer to clear the debris, when I noticed he wasn't going anywhere with his tractor.

He shut it off to pick up branches, and it wouldn't restart. It's gotta be electrical like a switch or relay, because it won't even turn any lights on. The battery is fine, we tested that.

I used the Kawasaki bayou to get the tractor into his garage. The tractor protested the whole way. The bayou didn't care. He had the parking brake on his tractor. Lol.

Here's the witness marks. The Bayou doesn't care. Honeybayou. KawiBayou

I keep hitting my head on a light in the basement. The ceiling is a bit low down there. I picked up a flat panel LED light that is only about a 1/2" thick off the ceiling box. Worked a charm.

Next was plumbing. 2 leaking fittings in the basement. Copper thread to sweat. Also removed an old farm sink faucet set up with 4 brass handles. It is really cool. I'll dust it off and maybe sell it on FB marketplace for someone to install in their laundry room.

I cut all the badness out and installed ball valves with drains and also a new stub for the outdoor sillcock. The existing is galvanized steel with a boiler drain outside. Just a hack job.

New one has ball valve and downward pitch to daylight. Ran out of time to plumb that one in. All went fine, no leaks. The hot water line to the kitchen and laundry had no ball valve. I pulled the pipe insulation to cut one in and found a crusty pipe. It was a leaker at the coupling and self sealed at some point.

Time to kick back with family for a few hours. Happy Father's day to all you dad's and other guys that make a difference and be a father figure to children whether they are yours or not.

Depending on which way you went if you went past Columbia, you could of been less than an hour from me.

So he must live off 77 somewhere north of Columbia, Ft Jackson area , Forest Acres? Cause if you went to Charlotte you would got off 26 before Columbia . Probably not too far up 77 though. I know the area somewhat well. I use to work in that area.
