    :mad::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::( :( :( :( :( :( :(

It fell out of the bucket of my 7210 in a turn and I felt it when I rolled over it with the rear tire. I haven't wanted to think about it for a few days but might as well get started on this rainy day.

    Pics of the carnage.....

So besides the obvious, what do I need to do?

    Thanks:headbang:

Oh man… I hate it when I do stuff like that. Are you a saw guy (mechanic)? If not, get it to your local saw guy for an inspection. It doesn't look too bad but…

I can turn a wrench. There's a couple of good shops close by but I'd prefer to fix it if I can.

    Wait a sec....

    You ran over this:

    With one of these:

    And ended up with this?

    o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

This is what you SHOULD have ended up with!

Yours doesn't look too bad, clutch cover, rear handle/tank and a filter cover are what I see for damage in the photos. Heck, unless you cracked the crankcase and I can't see it in the photos, I think you got REAL lucky!

Squished saws are good luck ya know. I started with one that looked like this:

    And ended up with these:

How can I check the case? It needs a new cluch cover as well. The starter cover has a few cracks and the top handle feels off but that could be my imagination. I do feel very lucky.

Best way is a good visual inspection followed up by a pressure/vac test. Does it still run?

Pull it over with the clutch cover removed and see if the crank is bent. (fingers crossed)

You could try to run it. What's the worst you could do? Break it? ;)

Prolly be fine anyway. If I ran over my saw… it would end up as flat as a skeeter mauled on a stump… ;)

    Clutch appears to rotate true.

    I'm good at that.

I don't have anything to add. Other than you did walk away pretty lucky. It could have been far worse.

So should I splash some gas in and give her a tug or tear it down and hook it up to the vacuum pump?
