Once the Ash job is finished, I'll head back in on the lot I usually cut on and start on this Maple.

I only stacked one small load of pine today which was split last fall (pic 9239) in the area (9240) that we'll burn from for this shoulder season, pic 9241 is whats left from the last shoulder season which will get stacked in the area that's left open in pic 9242.

I didn't get any firewood work done today, I have something going on in my inner right ear but tomorrow I'll start splitting the pine in this picture. This pine we'll be for the shoulder season of 2020.

I stacked about three loads of pine split last year and then grabbed the splitter to start on the pile of pine rounds from last years clearing for the new garage.

Pic 9247 is the first load of pine, I'm not sure if 9248 is the second or last load, 9249 & 9251 are the start and what I split and 9250 is some ash, beech and maple I had cut & split last year.

Along with the splitting of the pine, I want another four face cord stacked by next Saturday.

I split more pine today, this should give me two face cord or 0.62 of a cord.

Pic 9253 is the start of my splitting after I split about 10 rounds, pics 9255 & 56 is all the pine I split the last couple of days.

I was talking to Chazsbetterhalf about shoulder season wood this morning.

I've got some pine and poplar that I really need get CSS for shoulder season, but I've been more concerned with trying to get on the 3yr plan with my cold weather wood.

For now I'm OK with letting the furnace handle SS. When the real cold hits, I wanna be ready.
    :fire:

Once I'm well ahead on the hardwoods, I'll work on SS wood.

I can understand that, I'm usually two years ahead on our shoulder season wood but I came down with plantar fasciitis last year so once I get the six face cord of pine up, I'll start stacking the ash, beech and maple.

I was going to split more pine tonight but we hit 86 today so I'll put the splitter away and hope the rain holds off tomorrow during the morning so I can split more.

My plan was to finish this stack today but the shopping day was moved up a day so I only did three loads of pine, this pine is from the tree we felled for more sun.

We've dropped almost 20 degrees from the high today with a steady rain finally here, the high for today was 83 with the temp at 64 at the moment.

It has gotten heavier here too but nothing the sand won't take care of. I'm hoping it quits raining early tomorrow morning so I can stack more pineloak.

I stacked more pine today until it started raining harder and the new boots feel pretty good.

I only did some stacking on flat ground today but the real test will be cutting on a hill for a good amount of time.

So far the Plantar Fasciitis hasn't returned but I needed a boot that I could wear my Orthotics in, the new boots felt better than my cutting boots with the Orthotics in them.
