For sure us northern guys definitely would have problems working in the south just like you southern guys would have problems working in the north. I'm not sure which would be the easiest to get used to but I'm like amateur cutter in that when the temperature climbs and the humidity climbs along with it, you can count me out. Fortunately I'm retired so I don't have to work in it and usually don't. Fall for sure is the best time of the year.

temps in the upper 60's now. Bright sunny day high around 80 im guessing. No humidity, but still worked up a good sweat this afternoon making firewood in full sun. Burning hardwood scraps and some punky oak pcs plus bark as well. Had cheddar kielbasa dogs on the charcoal tonight.

Thank the Lord, you guys were horrible dry down there by the sounds of it.
Sun was hot here too, but humidity wasn't bad. Nice breeze again too. Got up to 78 I think so I worked more in the shade. Got wood moved around, made the log yard/deck bigger & got about 3/4 cord of dry stacked by the boiler.

Thanks, we were bad dry, about a week of 98-100* and then a few more weeks of 92-95*, grass was dying, turning brown, having had to cut in about 3 weeks or months. Did get some wood CSS though.

I didn't mind that weather at all. My hunny got cold a bit. As long as I'm working, I'm good. Don't know about being in 10* and cutting though...

I'm wondering if perhaps we'll have another fire in the stove tonight. Raining and they predict falling temperatures so we might have a small fire just to get the dampness out.

We're 82 right now with 72% humidity. Just had a quick shower.

We're in a summer rain pattern. It was much needed and I welcome it.
