Battle of the Bulge. I thought it was pronounced "Bulg" with a hard G similar to bugle. Lester Holt on national news tonight pronounced it with a soft G like barge. Which is correct?

Eric VW and yooperdave My Lilac lost buds this year from the late spring and a couple cold snow storms. I have a picture from about 11 months ago EDIT, 13 months ago not 11, it was in full bloom. It happens.

Kiddo helped me paint a small exterior wall today, ~ 7' x 8 ', put a decent coat on the worn plywood siding, it almost looks like stucco from a distance  . I'd like to do the rest of where I spend my outside time this summer, the back patio. That poor plywood or presswood or whatever the heck was used for siding out there is soaking up paint like crazy but WOW what a difference that one wall makes !

We'll figure out a new trim color after it's all done. I did a quick an dirty on scraping the chipped/peeling paint, but at this point I imagine anything I do is better than leaving it bare.

Well, it felt like a struggle and I thought we were slower than usual but it was about the same time as normal. It is nice walking in the daylight. We didn't take the dogs as it looked like it was going to rain but we got away with a light shower in the middle of the walk.

Got the rav4 worked on yesterday in anticipation of the vacay trip.

Needed a set of rear brake pads and a front wheel bearing. Belts, hoses, pressures, rotation, fluids are all OK and ready to head out into those "big busted ladies" (Rocky Mountains!)

I just had my RAV4's original battery replaced at 105K miles. Other than brakes it hasn't needed any repairs. Just bodywork from when I bashed it up a couple times.

Well, I would have been the first to post here this morning but we went for a walk instead. Took the dogs this morning. For them it is an adventure for sniffing and exploring.. For us it is exercise to be done and over with. We still managed to do it in our time frame though. It is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles in about an hour.

869C37FA-92FE-493A-A990-C0B057324723.jpeg Got the windows out and painted along with the accent wall. Time to put it all back together. I will have to say....the Andersen windows are a very well made product.

Finally got my truck back from the accident repairs. 20 something days in the shop. It has a cracked ABS toner ring on the drivers side that was missed. I don't know how they missed it. I'll deal with it.:headbang:

Yeah I didn't even post until 10:20 pm. Busy with work, it's plain stupid busy. Towed my boat home from storage last night with the truck. It sure tows the boat well. I need to extend the safety chains though for the truck with that boat trailer. I'm putting up new shiplap above the mantle over the wood stove. I got a good portion cut to length tonight. I'm sure glad I borrowed my buddy's miter saw. I'll need to make a ton of small pieces for around the cubbies, but this is the best way to do it.
