No room to just drop. It would have to land in the pine trees and that would just create another mess. I'd say 80% of the clean up work was done with my little 355t. Ended up with almost 5 tanks through it. None of the bigger saws went through one. Lots of cut and toss and repeat.
Photos are always deceiving. Cut n toss is the norm. Did i understand you are renting a cherry picker James Miller to remove it?
Thought crossed my mind. It wouldn't be the first time. Right now I'm splitting up the stuff on the ground and trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with it. Wish I knew someone close that needed wood.
Cooler but sunny again. Yesterday was not a good day. I saw a lot of severe storm warnings out but have not yet heard of damage. We lucked out again especially with that last batch of storms as they all went south of us. We only got 1/2" of rain.
Temps today in mid to upper 70s. Mostly cloudy and a bit muggy, but the sun did shine a few times. Went to a Polish street festival and while we were eating I smelled a wood fire. It turned out we were just down wind from a wood fired grill. I had to investigate, of course,(pierogi in hand) and found a wood bin with sugar maple. Only a FHC guy right???? AND no i didnt take it!
Yup, we had frost this morning! 31 cold degrees. That was reported by a radio station. There are always those "colder spots" that dip the mercury farther.....
Beautiful sunny day today in GA. Cooler than last week. It was so hot last week, the buzzards were mad, the roadkill was getting overdone....
It was warm this morning in the 60's but the winds have moved in pretty heavy, temps plummeting. Current temp 51°F heading down to the mid 30s overnight.
We hit 47 for high with some winds and a good hard rain, tomorrow morning NOAA is calling for a low of 39.
3rd one of the season on me today dave but unlike the last 2 he hadn't dug in yet. Supposed to go down to 45f tonight and the stove is brewing now.
Well, I don't REALLY like that Loon. Only found one on me that obviously had only just latched on. Just came in from stacking a bit in the shed and found one on the front porch......dead. The Seresto dog collars are doing the job, as is my Permethrin spraying regimen. I actually collected 8 of the little bastages (dead, of course) last week. Only found one on each of the dogs and all were dead.
Think I might squirt some of this on me as it is doing a good job on the dogs now. Was out back playing with a bunch of dead wet leaves for the compost and I imagine that's where he came from.
