The old shingles were/are green, pic is the new ones, a shade of grey. Much better. Great uncle randy is also planning to replace his aging green shingles hopefully this year, looking forward to seeing that. House is me and dads project, mostly have it to myself since he got his girlfriend haha. Slowly getting it fit to live in again.

I was watching the radar the whole time out on the boat. Got it back in and covered up just as the light rain started.

Power was out for about 1.5 hrs, WWW unpacked the generator in the garage, gassed it up, strung the extension cord that was recently put away (my block heater cord), power came on 3 seconds before he walked back in the door

Sounds like New England got the rains that went through here. We lucked out and only got 1/2" rain and no severe storms. Both south and east of us got much more, as usual.

The nice thing about those storms is that it brought in some nice clean air again with that beautiful deep blue sky you see in the north country.

Dennis, it rolled North and south of us with severe thunderstorms last night. We got lucky and it missed us. We did however benefit from it with clear skies and a cool and dry day.

Het c'mon now! Give them some credit! After all, what other state has the slogan of "Kentucky-4.5 million people; 7 last names" :rofl:

And, it is also the birthplace of the toothbrush. Bet you didn't know that. If it had been invented anywhere else, it would have been called the "teethbrush"!!!

    Just kidding, Kentucky! :handshake:

we definitely got some pretty good thunderstorms last night. Woke me up a few times.

I was just looking out my back slider, and Im pretty sure I saw an EAB on my deck. It was gone by the time I got out there to investigate though.

    So...

I leave work early on this beautiful day and decide to go cut my parents grass for them and then do a few things outside by my house.

As it turns out, my extremely nice dad went over by my place and started bush hogging the field for me.

So I go into their shed to get the mower out and begin when my dad calls me.

He tells me to run over to my place real quick and help him. I'm worried and ask if everything is ok. He says he spooked a baby deer and now it's his best buddy...

So I go to my place and find this...

    IMG_20190603_152734.jpg IMG_20190603_152817.jpg

It was as friendly as it could be. Neither one of us really knew what to do. It came right up to us and we petted it and hung out like a dog. It wouldn't leave my dad alone. I finally distracted it enough that he could get back to the tractor and call it quits to head home before the mom, wherever she is, decided to ditch the baby. It went into the high grass that was left and I came back to mow their yard. Going back later to check on it.

I hope us petting it didn't make the mother decide to not want it back. Nobody on here could resist petting this little thing, trust me...it was that persuasive!
