That will keep you and yours warm for a lot longer than it takes to make it. Great looking splits. As others have said, marathon not a sprint.
Yes, we're plugging away at it just a bite at a time when we can. There is still some wood left at the neighbor's as I'm still waiting for the pastor to come get the rest of what he wants. I also have done a bit of sorting because of the way the wood was cut. I surely wish the guys had marked all the cuts for 16"! I've got everything between 12" to 24" so far with a lot in the 19-20" range which will not fit in our stove. So the pastor can take most of the long pieces and I've split several of them. I did cut one yesterday and had to cut 9" off it to fit our stove. Than makes for a lot of short pieces which do not stack well, but we'll just throw those short ones in a pile and they will dry okay. I was going to post about the milk crate but then wondered if anyone else would catch it. Right! Okay the truth of this is that my hips have gone so bad that I can not get down on the milk crate like I could so had to use something higher. I had used this stool once or twice before following hip surgery but at that time it was not working well. Now it seems to work nicely so that will be my go-to from now on it appears. It makes me wonder if I should now return the crate that TurboDiesel made for our tractor?
