A beautiful morning to be outdoors. Finally got some sunshine. It's a bit muggy but not as bad as it has been. Now they are forecasting we might get to 79 today. Actually I hope not with the humidity we have. But we'll take it over all that rain and cloudy. I can only do a little splitting at a time so the going is a bit slow but it will get done. There is still lots to do and there is still more to haul in. It surely is good to have some white oak.
What! What! What! No milk crate or are you moving up in the world? Had to scroll through xx to make sure I was seeing what I thought I saw. Looking good Dennis. Nice day around here too.
You’ve got some big rounds there. Bigger than most anything I get around here. Makes for some good looking splits. A little at a time is better than none at all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Looking good there, brother. Good wood. I noticed the upgrade to the milk crate... pretty soon, you'll be using an office chair like we do....
It's a marathon Dennis, not a sprint.......but you knew that already. I managed to get a small bit of Pine stacked a few days ago....that had been sitting in the little trailer.....for a few days....with rain water in the bottom. I figgur as long as we're movin' forward, it's progress. Unless of course, there's a cliff a few feet away.
Great, glad to see you are doing your thing!! Of course we need the story behind this new seating arrangements.
Nice work Dennis! Too much rain here for firewood work. I've got cords of rounds, some over a year cut, I can't get off the hill due to the wet ground. Maybe fall will be dry....
little by little Backwoods Savage Rome wasnt built in a day, neither was the 3 year plan for that matter!
I wonder who it was that came up with that 3 year plan thing. Whoever it was was a smart guy! Glad to see you plugging away at that gtg white oak Dennis. You'll reap the rewards from that tree for many years!
Only one way to eat an elephant.. One bite at a time! Between one kid graduating high school, another one young enough to need near constant attention, a honey-do list that makes War and Peace look like an issue of Reader's Digest, and angling toward a promotion at work, all I have time for lately is a few lawn-carts of splitting at a time.. Being a little bit ahead is a blessing this year, no doubt. Thankfully all I "need" to get done is splitting and covering a bit of pine for shoulder seasons, and moving this winter's wood closer to the house. What I WANT to get done is somewhat more ambitious, but we'll see. Looking good there, Savage. Was the stool a gift from the gtg? Guess we can't call you "Ol' Waffle-Butt" anymore.
Got a pretty nice set up, way easier on the back !!! Amazing the evolution we’ve seen with several here over the years Have fun stacking
