It has so wet here. Helping my buddy out with field work. He's just getting corn in the ground today and it looks like we'll have rain the next week or so. Uhggg.

Yep we have been having a pretty wet spring this year too. The drive up to the house and the roads are very muddy.

Around these parts we're at about 60% of the corn planted. Farmers are starting to worry some. It's not been a good Spring. Rain forecast for the next week & very little sun.

Yup, here locally they have been working ground like crazy all weekend...seen some planting going on today...sounds like they are across the road right now...I would expect they will go all night since there is rain coming and the forecast for the next week looks like more days with rain than without :hair:

Rain?? I wish I’d had a rain gauge on my car yesterday. A four hour trip ended up taking about 7. Coming home from Denver Colorado, rain started around fort Morgan. Storm chasers passed us on the interstate around Brush co. Ten miles later they are all pulled over & watching storm. Then played leapfrog with em for probably 90 miles. (That means it can’t be good) traffic was often down to 25/30mph, raining to hard to see. Everyone running with flashers on. Pull over for a little while, let the rain & hail let up, go again. Repeat, repeat, repeat, over and over for close to 200 miles. Tornado sirens going off at Sterling & Julesburg co. I’ve never seen so much torrential rain for so long!

Around this area the questionj will it rain today isn't often asked.
Instead the question asked now is what time will it rain today.
Yesterday was a really nice spring May day till dusk then it rained hard again,

Last week TV 5 Saginaw Michigan report.

The owner of Hunt Farms in Richfield Township says so far they've only planted about 8 percent of their corn crop.
This is the farmer who plants all the fields near us, across our north line and the east fence line and Across the road to the west.

Usually by now they've planted between 75 and 90 percent.

Hunt says they only have until June 5th because that's when their crop insurance kicks in.

Until then it's a waiting game.

“The stress is probably the hardest thing on you. Because I'm sitting with all the employees and the responsibility of making these bills I have to pay this fall from the crops grown this year," he said.

More rain here yesterday and overnight. Minor flooding in some areas again. Calling for a high of 63 degrees today. Crazy spring for sure. Area farmers are behind as well.

Tell the truth you can take all this rain and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I will take the snow and cold, the grass doesn't grow the skeeters do multply per day, and you can work out side with out getting totally soaked.

Grass doesn't grow thru snow you don't normally get soaking wet working out side when it is snowing and you can plow the snow out of the way. skeeters don't hatch thru ice either.

Folks here are only at 10% or so. I've never seen it this wet in 41 years.
