What, Friday already? We had a little rain last night, but the sky is blue this morning. I'll spend the day outside, splitting oak and potting up some plants I bought yesterday.
No special plans for the holiday weekend, although I'll have my grandson up tomorrow. The big event is next weekend, the gtg at Well Seasoned's place up north! Have a good Friday everyone.

There was a break in the rain and I have the day off so....

Slipped in a hour and half of fishing this morning. I got a limit of sunfish (mostly pumpkin seeds and few bluegill), had a pike cut me off, another pike take a sunfish, and this guy:

He ended up going back to the lake today Midwinter. They are not legal to keep until tomorrow in MN. He would have been a good eating spring time cold water largemouth. However, I did take home 20 sunfish for the frying pan. They are pretty hard to beat.

 

I've got the oak on the run! This is all that's left to split, about a morning's worth. Then it's on to the mulberry!

Good morning everyone! Another beautiful cool day here. My grandson is coming up, but they are getting a late start. We'll hit a playground and build some Lego, our usual routine. I could use a rest day anyway. Hope you all have a good one!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. I'm a little late today, but better late than never. Glad I found this great group of folks. May the storms pass you by. I'm working today at my paying job, it's supposed to be about 95 or so this weekend, probably get on the wood pile about 8 tonight with the fans and lights. My hunny ❤️ decided she would work during to cooler temps this morning, she has spread 25 bags of red mulch, stacked some wood, cut our grass and pulled weeds in her flower beds, all done before 12:00.

Good morning everyone! Another sunny day after rain overnight. Should be a mellow day. I'll do a little wood splitting, pool dredging, and rust removal on my new saws. The longest one is a few inches longer than my fireplace is wide, so I think I will replace the FHC sign over the mantle with the other. The shorter one has a very cool tooth pattern. Funny how they came along just when I have to pass along the sign!
