A lot of work but it is nice now that you don't have to worry about those areas of your house. It is like living in a brand new house!

We have a storm happening this morning. Westerly. Rain and wind. It started in the night. I think it will be gone by Saturday. We definitely need the rain right now.

No rain here...yet. But it is not far away and coming right toward us. Dang. I planned on getting some splitting and stacking done today. Oh well, just another day off; I think I can struggle through it.

I use mine all the time. Saves my butt on the daily. I write mine off as work expenses. ;)

    Weekly grocery shopping done.
Mowed the yard with the new mower for the first time. I didn't know I signed up for the Rodeo. Went under the lilac bush and the front end reared up like a bronco leaving the chute. A branch caught on the ROP thingy. Don't know how safe that thing is going to be. It won't happen again. The branch had a run-in with a Stihl and got the worst end of the deal.
I then clipped the satellite dish with the ROP and bent the chit out of it. Spent the next hour straightening and aiming the dish. Honey is now happy she has her TV.
We are moving up. Got some thPIHK51BC.jpg and on the grill they go. Paid more than I'd like to but were on sale for $5.99 so I will treat us.
If the rain holds off, I will do some garden planting (tomatoes, cukes, sweet peppers) after supper.

I weed whacked the yard this afternoon, planted some wildflowers in another wasteland next to the house and pruned a bunch of dead snaps from bushes. I met another neighbor and reassured him the place will get tidied up.

Tomorrow's plan is to cut the lawn when the new lawn tractor arrives. I have a bunch of hemlock limbs to move out to the brush pile.

There is a lane behind the barn that goes to the back lot line. P.O. had shrubs piled up blocking access to the back. I'll hook into some of them and make a hole so I can mow the clearing beyond it. The clearing has grape vines, bittersweet and saplings taking over.

There are lots of good limbs and pine rounds ready to be processed.

It is going to be a great day.:saw: Mid-way down the lane is a downed aspen that will get cut. I'll be able to mow that back half.

Beyond it is a downed spruce that is blocking a trail along the back property line. All thickets beyond it.

I found an old dog run wound up in this old cedar, girdling a large limb. I got it out and will make a choker for hauling limbs out.

Ugh. We are under a flash flood watch. Very glad I built a wood shed a few years ago with all the rain we have and yet to come.

I have a swarm of these on my burning bushes. Any idea what they are and how to get rid of them?

Yeah a lot of rain here. We're up on a hill, no flood issues at our house. Then again we bought our house after the flooding in Spring of 2008, and we made sure it was on a hill and would have little chance of flooding. If it floods this high, most of the US will be under water.

Good Morning...:coffee: .... I'm starting to feel like TurboDiesel from last year.... water... water everywhere.... Not sure how much we got... my raingauge I put up yesterday wasn't talking to the main screen....... But it was rain pretty intensive for a while... But Southeast KS is the ones really hurting... John Redmond, Toronto, and Fall River dams are all about top of flood pool... They have to keep raising the gates to keep the water from going over top... This Flood will beat the Great Flood of '93....
