.3" rain last night and this morning. It just keeps coming day after day it seems. More predicted tonight and tomorrow. It's getting better though. Only 6 of the next 8 days predicted for rain... I am certainly happy I am not farming now!

Nice cool afternoon at the pine leaners.

I could not get the X 27 through this round. It looked clear and knot free. Inside there were old branches cut off and the tree grew over them. It smells great opened up..

I ended up hauling 4 wheelbarrow loads to the wasteland racks. Little steps...

Man, two busy days in a row for this retired guy.

After the insulators left, cleaned up what ever they had missed....not much BTW.

Then I joined all of the southern hoarders and cut my grass. Yup, the first cutting was today! Trouble with that is it reminds me of those younger drinking days. You know, you can sit at the bar for a long time drinking beer but once you go to the rest room, then you're running there the rest of the night! :D

Anyway, usually cut the grass twice a week for 2-3 weeks than it tapers off.

Also, visited the cemetery to place flowers on the graves.

I can relate and remember those days.
The company that I was working for gave trips to the trade show in Chicago for cost saving suggestion. I was fortunate to win one of the trips.
I was sitting at the bar with one of my co-workers. She was drinking Long Island Ice Teas. Never heard of them. She said, "You got to try one of these."
Ok and I did. Boy they tasted and just like ice tea. After about 5 I had to go. When I got off the barstool was when I felt it. I had a heck of a time navigating my way to the restroom.

Look what I snagged on my way home.

5 big pieces of honey locust. They are under 18" so no cutting needed, just splitting. That's all the city cut. They left the rest of the tree standing. Weirdos. That's why we didn't buy on the curry, but rather the town. BS taxes compared to the town. Now we know why.

Wow, forgot about that movie. Here's the YouTube clip that someone apparently recorded while filling their TV screen, but your quote is there.
