Cool day today and cloudy. It was relatively warm over the weekend here but not like those a bit south of us.

Strange that I see 80 and 81 forecast for Thursday and Friday. But then, they were forecasting 76 over the weekend and it did not get that warm. Also got more rain to delay the farmers even more. Sad as there is hardly any corn planted yet and the beans should be getting planted now. It will be a late year so hope for a good fall season and not too dry this summer.

Repairing the drywall where I had to cut out a chunk to access the shower valve replacement job (last week).

I HATE drywalling mudding, taping, sanding, and anything else associated with that useless (to me) job! :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

No, hate is not strong enough of a word!

I like all of that work. Finding time to do it is my issue.

Last Thursday my Father had to move into the nursing home. A room became available and my Mother had to make a very hard decision by the next day. Several of us told her we thought it was time. Things had been pretty tough, even with bringing more nursing help in to the house. Not knowing when the next room would come up if she didn’t take this one, she took it. It’s been a tough week. But he is settling in and has nursing staff around 24/7. Lots of family visiting him and my Mom. Hoping and praying for the best here.

Not the easiest decision to make but I think your mother made the right call. campinspecter's sister had to make that decision for husband who has Alzheimer. It has been tough on both of them but her health was greatly suffering. After your mother and the family see the kind of care he is getting and the load lifted from her shoulders, it will hopefully will become easier.

It was a good decision. I found that it helped to give your afflicted parent time to get used to the new surroundings, while they still have the mental capacity. A later admission would be even more confusing and disorienting for them.
