For some reason, I ended up with a $250 charge on my Master Card today.:hair:
The company name is Woodstock Soapstone, West Lebanon. :picard:
I blame Backwoods Savage for this....
At least we should be toasty warm in the new house next winter . :fire:

I’m ready to pull the trigger on an AS as well. I’ll be making time to get up to the shop at some point this summer.

Hope it works out well for you!

    At $250 I'll buy a couple, that's a heck of a sale price.
    :dex::dex:

I take it that is the deposit.

Congrats Nitrodave I'm sure you'll be happy with the stove.

    Yup that was the deposit...

Now time to get to cutting and splitting... I sold all my seasoned wood so I didn’t have to move it. If anyone is interested in camping, wood cutting, eating I would be more than willing to supply the space and food . :grizz::stacker::axe::campfire:

Congratulations! Admittedly I'm a bit jealous. Alas I'll have to save my pennies for awhile before I can afford mine.

They are on sale right now.. $300 off, $150 shipping credit, . Was thinking about making the drive to pick it up, but in the end, shipping is only $180. I'll spend more than that in fuel alone.

It should ship by the end of next week. I would love to do a NH vacation, stove pickup, gtg.... but just not in the cards right now... the move has about killed my play fund for a couple months.

That's great to hear... I have ALOT more of the oak... but it's still standing with no bark on it.... time to get to work ! I had a feeling when I sold all the wood, that I would then need it.. oh well. Didn't have time to move it all.

Nitrodave maybe you should have taken some wood home with you from the GTG? You could have.

    My trunk was full .....
I think I'll be fine, have a lot of standing dead oaks with no bark on them. Started cutting and splitting. They seem dry except the bottom 3-4 feet of the trunk. I may end up burning twigs and branches next winter... but I won't be cold !

That oak then should be ideal; just leave that bottom part for a few more years.
