time to get a splitter so you can handle those bigger rounds. Or take it with you, if you do have one.

Great score. Too bad about the 30 miles but it isn't that far when you think about it. Good time to have a robusto on the way back with a full load!

That is kind of far. But yet, here I am waiting for June 1st to drive 47 miles just to get a load of 12" round Ironwood,,, We've never had it

I think OP said his work is closer to the wood score. So he goes after work. 30 minutes isn’t bad for all that hickory

30 minute drive doesn't seem far when campinspecter has had to go at least 1 hr away to get wood sometimes. Fortunately his latest scores have been a little closer to home.

30 mins isn't that bad IMO. You do what you have to do in an urban area. Molly is probably less than 10 miles from me, but its 30 mins from here.

I’m exhausted. Unloaded the truck before work today so taking a night off. It was about 10 miles from work so not as far for the second wood run. My arms are throbbing from the big rounds so this is what I passed up tonight. Another score that was closer to home.

Looks like meh maple to me based on the leaves. Not good enough for a Raptor run on a day off.

So much wood, so little time.

30 miles ain’t nuthin, at least in my country. Most of my scores are at least 15-20. For a load of hickory I’d go a lot further just so I could try some.

If I could shoot a couple hogs while I’m there I’d think really hard on it

Saw a post on FB 9:15 am this morning for some white oak already cut and stacked ready for pickup on the side of the road. It was a 25 mile ride. I told the wife off for a wood run! I got there 55 minutes after the post and there were already 3 trucks! WTF. I thought no one on this forum lived in Delaware :(

I came back empty handed. My first Raptor run with nothing to show for it.

Decided to split and stack instead. Man that is not as fun as cutting and loading the truck.

Win some, ya lose some. A bad day hoarding is better than a good day at work, which is where I am today, till 7 tonight, had to get the work light out last night to split rounds until 10:15pm, me and the splitter ran out of gas at the same time. Been up since 5:30 that morning, thankful for a fan and light.
